Access by Car
Coming from the motorway A9 München - Nürnberg with exit Garching Nord, follow the signs directing you to the Research Centre. Or if driving on the major road B11, follow the signs “Forschungsinstitute”.
Access by Public Transportation
Coming from downtown Munich (e.g. the station Marienplatz), you will reach the Research Centre Garching by using the subway line U6 towards Garching-Forschungszentrum. If coming from the North (e.g. Station Freising or Airport Munich), please take the suburban train line S1 towards Neufahrn and then change to bus number 690 (terminus Garching-Forschungszentrum).
Access by Air
At Munich Airport, take either a taxi or the suburban train line S8 to the station Ismaning. Then take the bus number 230 to the terminus Garching-Forschungs-zentrum (about 45 minutes).
